We are happy to announce the release of Fusio 7.2. This minor version comes with an integrated proof-of-work based captcha system so that you are protected out-of-the-box without the need to configure an ReCaptcha key. Also we have introduced a new introduction action which allows us to create dynamic introduction texts for an agent. Each agent can now handle also a ref_id which allows us to have a conversation for a specific record, through this it is now also possible in the backend to modify an existing action or schema through an agent. Also we have added a custom agent registry at the frontend which helps to build complete customized frontend experiences for your agent.

The following list covers the most important changes in this release:

  • Add missing API descriptions

We have added many missing descriptions to our API specification which helps humans and agents to better understand the API.

  • Add kind property

The Fusio API now returns a kind property for every response object. The kind is also an uri which uniquely identifies the object i.e. https://typehub.cloud/s/fusio/sdk/7.0.14/System_About. At the same time it is also a visitable URL to get all schema information about the object which is hosted at our TypeHub platform. Note this change is only related to the Fusio internal API and does not affect the API which you build with Fusio.

  • Implemented proof of work captcha system

We have implemented a new proof-of-work captcha system which replaces the ReCaptcha integration. Previously users always needed to configure a Google ReCaptcha API key to protect i.e. the registration API endpoint. Fusio has now an integrated solution which works out-of-the-box so that you do not need to depend on this external system.

  • Add stricter rate limits to the authorization endpoints

With the introduction of the new captcha system we have also set more strict rate-limits on the authorization endpoints to protect from brute-force attacks.

  • Updated mcp/sdk package

The mcp/sdk package was updated to the latest 0.14 version which is in use at our Agent system.

  • Add option to configure an agent introduction action

It is now possible to configure a an introduction action at each agent. This action gets executed on every agent request and the response of this action can be used as variables inside the introduction text. If such an action is configured the introduction text becomes a twig template where you can access the dynamic values which are returned by the action. For example take a look at the existing schema agent where we have an introduction action to load an existing schema.

  • Add and handle reference id at an agent

Every agent now supports a ref_id for example s. /apps/fusio/agent/3/chat?ref_id=1. Through this all chat messages refer to the provided id and are only visible in the context of this id. Through this you can i.e. edit an existing record with an agent.

  • Add option to edit existing schema or action through an agent

We have implemented this ref_id at our backend app which now allows you to modify an existing action or schema through an agent.

  • Add custom agent registry

The agent registry is a frontend logic which enables you to build complete custom frontends for your agent. At the backend app we use this to register our custom agents like s.

    provideAgentChatTypes([
        [1, {type: Architect, label: 'Architect'}],
        [2, {type: Action, label: 'Action'}],
        [3, {type: Schema, label: 'Schema'}],
        [4, {type: Database, label: 'Database'}],
        [5, {type: Seed, label: 'Seed'}],
    ])

In your app you only need to assign a specific type integer and then you can build complete custom agent interfaces for your use-case.

If you want to provide some feedback take a look at our GitHub discussions or issues page.

Best regards
